custom glocks built in canada..... Who does this.

no arguments there. like you i live in the mac and if i want my own style added to it i would have to use time that i don't have to do that. id rather be shooting, and have a pro put all the bells and whistles that id like together. trigger job, front slide serrations, ported barrel, perhaps a back plate with my initials on it. maybe a hydro dip job as well that kinda stuff, a real hot rod. someone in Canada that does it all.
 
Soo it looks like im going to take on the build myself. you can order most of the parts from the states no problem, the only issues i ran into are slides and barrels.

timberwolf mag well, extended slide release, extended mag release, trijicon HD night sights - Glock store
 
Yeah, as Glocks are pretty simple, why not do it yourself? If you decide you can't, Weber & Markin Gunsmiths in Kelowna, BC, can handle it. Chris Weber there is a huge Glock fan and has been working on them since they came out...tons of experience. Steve Markin there is a magician with triggers, he makes pretty much any trigger shoot beautifully.
 
I have emailed a couple companies that sell Glock race gun kits as well as Prophet River to see about importing them.

If they can invoice it as a kit with a single sku or line item, it's very doable and worth it to have Prophet River import it.

The trick is, neither has responded then I asked if they were interested in selling it to an FFL for export.

if I have any success, I will share. As mentioned the barrel and comp are the tricky ones. Brownells has some stuff, but I am looking for the KKM barrel, Carver comp and Carver C-More mount.
 
I was in Wanstalls awhile back and they had a very nice custom G17 for sale. They said it was done by a local smith in BC. Try calling them and asking for the guys name.
 
Bowie Tactical does great work. With the price of Glocks in US, even with importation fees custom Glocks end up being about $1500 or less.
