Custom H&R Handi Rifles?

Just wondering if anyone knows about this, can't find anythng on their site. Say someone wanted the grey thumbhole laminate stock from a stainless hunter, on a bull barrel .308, the survivor. Are the bits the same? Will they put one together like that, or would one have to buy two guns and switch the stocks? a stainless 45-70 with a polymer skeletonized thumbhole/pistol grip seems like blasphemy and i don't think would be very marketable for resale...

I haven't heard of them doing custom mix'n'match at the factory for anyone, but you can order different stocks as spare parts.

yep.... you can order parts separately... so if you wan to change stocks just order one from the rifle that carrie sthe stock you want.... and yes.... all the handi stuff is interchangeable......

This exact configuration was available as a used gun for sale at Williams' Arms, and sat on the shelf for a few weeks until it recently sold. I was interested, but a thumbhole stock doesn't belong on an exposed-hammer gun, IMHO.

Bear in mind that the stocks from the 10-gauge shotguns and the 12-gauge Ultra Slug guns don't interchange with any other models (different receiver). All the others are uniform and interchangeable.

Sounds like someone wanted the exact thing I did, and bought 2 guns? I'm not really interested in a 45-70 though, so i'd end up trying to sell the other one. I'm surprised they don't offer more options, or have a gun builder on their site if all the stocks are interchangeable :S Imagine if savage offered their guns with only one stock/barrel configuration
