Are this extended front rings?
That's a beautiful rifle what are the specs on it? Stock, barrel, caliber, trigger??
Mark extensively reworked the action. It has his bolt release (checkered), his handle (checkered), the bolt shroud has been scalloped to accommodate the safety, the trigger is original but has been recut, narrowed, and shotgun faced, the tang has been reshaped, the extractor is a spring steel Wisner, the bottom metal is original Blackburn, the stock is an Echols McMillan, and the barrel is a Krieger. It is chambered for the 280 Remington.
@todbartel what scopes are you using on your 280 and 338-06?
on the 280, a Vx3i 4.5-14x40 (30mm tube, side parallax, CDS, Windplex), on the 338-06 a vx3i 3.5-10x40 Duplex

Great thread. Got a little bit of everything in here...stainless, blue, synthetic, wood...love the variety!
Here's my entry. It's a custom BSA built for my Dad in '61. 7mm Weatherby, hand-polished metal. Engraved escutcheon with Dad's initials on the floorplate. Half-decently figured piece of walnut on her to boot! I never get tired of posting these photos. The rifle was Dad's pride and joy and I was lucky enough to inherit it when we divided up his guns. Would love to take it and him back in the field one more time but I'll have to settle for taking his rifle and knowing that he's there with me.

Did you reshape the atlas trigger guard or that still the factory plastic in the picture? I have the atlas and I'm not a fan of the shape...but it is an improvement over the plastic.
