Custom Long range rifle.

I am with ATR on fluting, the only worthwhile gain is looks, IMHO. That being said...I do loooove the look:

That muzzl brake is too big for that barrel, it stand out more than the barrel, got to get something smaller.

Esthetically it may look too big for some, but from a physics & efficiency point of view, I would like to know what the downside of it would be?

And if I remember correctly, that's .338L and not a pee .243 shooter.

Cheers
Ben

Do you still sell those FTE muzzle brakes as how easily do they fit onto a model 10 FCP-k threading and barrel? Do you offer this service? I did email you but I guess it got lost in cyber twilight zone :)

Don't get me wrong, I wouldn't want to rough up any hard feeling, what I mean was that the biggest feature of that rifle would be the beautiful spiral fluting, and I don't want to say anything about copying PGW, but look at their muzzle brake system, very effective and sleek looking, you don't need Hugh one to be efficience.

Yes...the fte is a little big but it was what I had on hand already and I always liked the the look of it.

OP....sorry for the hijack :redface::redface:

I try to picture one of these one on that flute barrel of your would look great, but again it also pretty big!

Harvy, if anything I recommend you upgrade the barrel on your budget first. The rest will eventually come but nothing will give you more accuracy than the new barrel.

Its like the engine of a race car. You can build a formula 1 chassis but if it's only got a stock civy engine ... You might get beat by your neighbors Volvo.

Unless you wana give that buck a 3rd chance ;) lol

My self, burton or tifo can help you bed the action into your current stock if you want for now to get you started. Cost near nothing.

Roger! Are you going with Burton in the next week to fire a bit?
