Custom Milsurps!!!

Tried to post these earlier but had some issues, hopefully got them fixed!
A really nice Lee Enfield highly modified and iletted into a one piece stock.
Some people have speculated that it could be one of Ellwood Epps' creations, because they has seen one that he did just like it, bu this one is still in .303 British, not one of his improved or wildcat cartridges.
Shoots as well as it looks!

Now that`s a nice custom milsurp.

Just because it is not an improved cartridge does not mean it was not done by Ellwood.

He didn`t re-chamber every rifle he put out the door.

there were a lot of good gunsmiths back in the day, not every thing in Canada was done by Ellwood.

No, but the stock style and checkering are consistent with the other one.
I would imagine because it has a Parker Hale barrel on it, the stock maker decided not to change the chamber, but I am only guessing on that .
I plan on building a flush mount magazine for it this winter, like the one my father built for his .

thanx mc 600, and thank you too EL34/6L6 ....... thats gotta be the most unique handle ive seen yet ....... gonna have to tell us the story behind that one .........i got the garand for a smoking hot deal and after working out some kinks and learning bout it i do have it shooting 1.2 " groups if im doing my part ...now to bed it or not to bed it that is the question ....lol

"If'n it ain't broke ...."

I went through that agony with my Danish M1 and decided to keep it stock. I have no trouble ringing gongs out to 300m (sitting or prone) and that is all I need or want from it.
It has also taken a large 6 pt. Mule Deer for me. Handsome is as handsome does ....

Except one...they are all sporters.

wow ..nice rifles all ,keep em coming

......... im currently in the process of putting together a marine corp m40 retro sniper rifle clone ...... have the rilfe (1980 heavy bbl,24 ",rem 700 bdl),red field tombstone 3-9x scope , the gunsmith , and stock, swivels ,rings and bases ,buttplate (aluminum) should soon be on there way .........scope aint green though ...not sure if i want that ......anyhow i just love the look of those glorified varmint rifles that was the usa s first sniper rifle

also at a different gunsmith...hes having problems i guess finding the mounts ....but getting him to mount a replica 8x fixed unertl telsescope on my model 70 from 1947 ....... again what the marines used in ww2 a bit for sniping and into nam and there shooting teams till it was replaced by the m40 .........carlos hathcock used one primarily in nam and did some pschyo /amazing feats of sniping and all that with one ....truly stuff out of books and movies and he was the case study for if the Muricans needed to field snipers on a permament basis

Here's my "custom" Israeli Mauser, S&K instamount, hand made cheek rest, trench mag and VX-1 3-9x40. This is one of my favorites for sure.

^^That's the way to do it, imo. I'm a bit of a milsurp purist but I can't help but check back to this thread with a bit of morbid curiosity, lol.
