You can't buy a decent Mosin mount unless you spend $200 or more so.....
Make your own.
I like to save Mosins dying slow rusty deaths. A referb Mosin with a counterbored rusty barrel has no collector or historical blah blah so save it.
I grabbed some 6061 aluminum for this. Made it fit perfect in the rear site base, no movement at all.
Add a cross pin further back. Both pins are very tight. Grabbed this utg 870 rail from my lgs (nova tactical). Utg has come a long way with some of there product, only $29 for the rail, very nice quality.
Hand made as always.
As for the Mosins
Cut bbl to 20 inch. Clean the bbl of any rust down to the metal then polish with steel wool.
Free float the barrel.
Bed the action.
Trigger job, fix the loose trigger, shorten the sear and polish.
Polish bolt, all mating surfaces.
Sand and finish stock with minwax spar urethane.
Reblue everything.
