Custom Remington Titanium *Pics**Now Range Update Too*

As a side note I find it a challange to shoot itty bitty groups with this rifle, the crosshairs are too thick, magnification power too low, rifle too light and I'm too impatient for consistant tack driving accuracy.

I'm certain with more time to develop loads and some proper sandbags for a better rest on the bench that this rifle could shoot really amazing for what it is.

After my initial load development I totally cleaned the barrel and it was a breeze, almost no copper fouling.

The barrel didn't seem to heat up as bad as some pencil barrels I've shot and the POI didn't wander when it was cool to when it was warm.

I was under time constraints while developing an adequate hunting load and I look forward to playing around with it again after hunting season to see what it can really do, until then I have 100% confidence in this rifle to function smoothly and predictably in the field.

Hope you enjoy my little field test.

It's a hunting rifle, not a itty bitty group shooter..That's a good load, and the only reason to tinker wiht it more is becuase you want to, it won't put anymore meat on the ground:)

I've also found the TSX bullets to foul very little comapred to the X bullets. A aaplication or 2 of WIPEOUT and all the fouling is gone. You shoudl enjoy packing that rifle this year!

For really cleaning out copper, I use a shot of foaming bore cleaner, let it sit 15 mins, clean it out, then 2 patches with CR-10, some dry ones to finish, and the bore is as clean as a whistle!

Nice rifle Brambles. Good shooting too!

Don't know how I missed you at the range? I was back and forth the same day doing load work for my .270!

Looks good! I got the 130 Barnes TSX shooting good out of my .270 as well..

I was thinking of giving you a call but I thought you'd be working, seen your name in the log in book on my last trip, I went twice that day so I'm surprised we didn't run into each other:rolleyes:

Thanks for the comments guys, I really like these light weight jobbies, after I make some alterations to this one I think I'll start on the Model 7 or buy a short action M700 to build

........ to build what? :)

I think a lightweight Mountain Rifle in 358Win would be cool.

.

OOOOOHHHH I don't know, haven't thought about it much but a 358 does sound cool, especially with a short 20" barrel.:)

358win, 6.5-284, 25-08, kind of sound good, it will be a while until then so I have time to think.

Now its HUNTIN TIME:D
