I have had work done by both "HWSNBN", and Dave Jennings. Both do top notch work.
Dave Jennings has turned out some incredible rifles. If you go to Dave, don't be in a rush, however, anything I've seen him do looks like a show piece.
I have also handled and shot a rifle built by Corlane Sporting goods. Also a great rifle.
Corlanes (www.rockymountainrifles.com) did a .338-06 for me. excellent work. have had good experiences with Gunpro, Bits-of-peices, and Alberta Tactical Rifle.
EDIT: apprently the tactical rifle builder in Alberta is a title worthy of ***'s? oh well, he does good work.
Corlane's will have their own action based on a Borden rifle action soon. Borden actions are very nice. Will make Corlanes rifles hot S**T if the tolerances are as tight.
In BC, try Corlanes and Bits of Pieces. BoP has custom Montana Rifleman actions in stock currently. Corlanes is still in development, but can build you a rifle on an action you supply.
Corlanes/Rocky Mountain Rifles in Dawson Creek gets my vote.
Hey Amphibious, a buddy & I are looking at getting 338-06 A-square rifles made from Corlanes. They have done custom work for me in the past -GREAT WORK!
How do you like your 338-06? Did you get a new barrel are did you get your existing barrel reamed out?
Mighty Peace: Had a rem 700 BDL rebarreled by them. 24" Douglas CrMo, .650" muzzle. Blueprinted action, bolt sleved. action is very very silky. shoots .6moa with 225gr IB's. VERY HAPPY with their work.
A combination of a gaillard barrel and Corlanes gunsmithing, and the link below shows the results. The rifle is chambered in 300ultramag and the loads are hunting loads.
