Custom Rimfire Crate

Well I was bored the other night and as i was organizing my workbench i noticed an old empty box and I though "i could do something with this." No I'ts not a crate. Compared to the size of a .22lr i guess you could call it that.

I started by cleaning it up and painting it flat black, inside and out. Then cut a piece of drawer liner and attached to the bottom. Printed out some text stencils, cut with exacto knife, and sprayed white. Lastly weathered the whole thing to make it look as if it was metal underneath and from wear and tear the black paint wore off.

I think it looks pretty spiffy and a neat way to just throw my bulk .22 ammo in my range bag on range days.

What do you guys think?

I think your ammo-storage container lacks a suitable locking device.

Which, as I understand it, are now mandatory to have on ammo storage containers.

I keep the ammo in the factory boxes, and place those in a lockable container.

This box goes into an ammo safe inside my gun safe so i should be good
