Custom Stock on an Affordable build

Just a thanks to Chris at MCRS Tactical in Calgary ...
This Tactical/Benchrest stock is exactly what I wanted for this build...Rem 788 action chambered in 6.5x47 Lapua(no turn neck) by Ben Roberts of Wasa Lake BC
African Bubinga/Curly Maple/Shedua wood stock, 30 MOA pic rail and custom bottom metal was built by Chris at MCRS Tactical... trigger work, stock finishing and bedding was done by myself.

After 5 rounds break in/cleaning..this rifle shoots excellent right outta the gate...no load development as of yet...she's just a shooter turning out 200 meter(220 yds) groups of 1/4 moa

A very nice rifle built for a very reasonable price

Great looking rifle.

A few weeks back I also got a stock from Chris at MCRS Tactical.

Similar to an A5. CUstom made to my measurements.

He did the pillar and action bedding as I was concerned and admittedly nervous about bedding a savage 10 with no action screw on the tang.

Rifle went from 3/4 MOA to consistent 1/4 MOA with my handloads.

I was on the fence about getting either a chassis or A5 style stock. Glad I went the route I did.

Turnaround was just under 2 weeks.
