Anyhow, here is a stock arrived a few months ago that I ordered for a 243AI project:

Rem 700 Mtn Rifle Short action, standard fill @ 13 1/2 LOP w/1" decelerator and stainless studs, w/standard rem sporter bbl contour.

You pick you LOP (incl pad), stud type, bbl channel, color, and pattern....it's that simple.

No issue w/shipping into Canada either.
 
hey!, my 243 isnt one of these fancy boy Ackley jobs, and its only got a factory tube ;) and I could only spring for a Bell & Carlson stock. :p

based on the praise from rick, tod, chuck, etc in this thread, their $399 price for a finished stock and relatively cheap (compared to other companies) shipping to Canada i am considering giving their HTG hunting stock a try since ive never owned one, only the A-2.

i still think they are overpriced.... just.. inching a little bit closer towards the 'somewhat almost fairly priced' threshold. im still not sure i will do it - its either a new Ruger Hawkeye in .300 win mag or an arctic camo Mcmillan for myself for Christmas. when you realise that both will cost almost the same in the end and i have to wait till summer for the mcmillan (so much for arctic camo, lol) i am leaning a little towards the Hawkeye.
