As more and more postive comments come in about my reloading products that I sell. I wanted to open up a post for my customers to post there results and comments about the products I sell here on gun nutz.

So if you have bought some bullets from me and have had good results share them... you can post pictures of tight groups, great hunts, days at the range... data... tips and tricks...whatever!

Main goal is to help others reconize the quality products that I offer.

I bought the Lee Progressive 1000 for 9mm and then got the accessories to do my .45acp as well as my .38super. I am totally amazed as to how well it works. Right now im getting used to it by ONLY de-priming my mass quantities of 9mm brass. Out of the 1500rds that ive done so far, ive managed to only bugger about 20rds. Haste makes waste you know :D Overall, im glad I bought it and Andrew is an awesome dealer who looked after me on getting me set up. I will be buying from him again.

I've dealt with Andrew from everything from match grade rifle bullets to hollowpoint handgun bullets to the hard to find brass I was needing. Andrew has always gone out of his way to help his customers find the things they need and he is always prompt, polite and a great person to deal with.

I enjoy the emails of products that he knows that I use with special deals when they come available, he always has kept me informed of products, ship times, availability etc.

Deal with Andrew in confidence, he's a great guy that always wants to see a happy, return customer.
 
Well what was suposed to be a full day of shooting turned out into only 1 1/2hrs but I got a chance to try out a new load I was testing for a 1-12" twist barrel... before I go nutz spending lots of money for a long range target I want to try and see how long I shoot my bone stock 700 VLS with 50 grain v-max. I forgot my trajectory tables at home which is more then an hour drive away from my private range... it's a farm that belongs to a relative... so that kinda put a damper on any long range stuff... I did get some time to sight in at 100 yards and shoot a frying pan I had at 250 yards... played around with my M14 a bit too but realize I need a new scope mount because this one moved on me...

Anyways the load if anyone is interested is 25.1grs of 3031, with a muzzel velocity of 3300ish fps which should give optimum stability with 50grain bullets. Remington brass that had been trimmed and culled from a bucket so they weigh the same. Powder charges where identical, OAL was horandy spec for there factory produced V-max or at least as close as I could get with my lee dies see my other post about the unique problem with lee dies and V-max. The Weather was sunny and no wind and -8. Shooting off a harris bipod off the hood of a truck. Real world performance not off a bunch of sandbags

These arn't groups to brag about but they where shot one after another and show that they are consistant and just not those lucky tight groups that happen once and while. The rifle is out performing me due to the fact its the first time I shot in about 3 months

The bull is a 1" and so are the squares... the gun shoots about 1 moa at 100 but I have shot 1/2 with it in the summer time when I had been shooting often. At 250 yards the 3 shot group I fired at my frying pan left holes in a trangular postion 1-1/4" apart all directions which is decent and the drop was not noticeable which was suprising.

Every time I had what was going to be a tight group either the first or last shot was a flyer due to me doing something wrong

This is what happens when you fire heavy bullet from a barrel that isnt designed for it... these shots where taken from 10 to 15 yards away... at 100 yards the bullet hit the ground before it could hit the paper.

Bullet in question is an 80 grain Amax fired from a 1-12" and a 1-9" the 1-9" twist is marginally better as I was able to hit the bullseye with the bullet going sideways

I figured the 1-9" would have worked a bit better then the 1-12" but they recomend 1-8" or faster and this is the reason why...

Went out to try my new scope to do some long range shooting

300 yards - Remington 700 VLS stock the group at the largest point is 3" I just fired a few quick ones as a point between going from 100 to 600 yards... loads are with imr powder and 50 grain vmax bullets... there was a wind today I dont know how fast I need to get one of those little gadgets... If I understand things correctly this is MOA for 300 which isnt to bad for a complete stock gun.

I then proceeded to shoot at 600 yards and yes even in the wind of 10 -15 km/h its possible to hit two legal size papers... I used a 1foot circle to aim at since thats the size of a 10 ring on a F class target. I fired strings of ten... I am pretty sure they all would have been inside the 8 ring of 600 yard f class target. This was my first time shooting at 600 yards so its a bit more challengeing then I though but give me a few more weekends... my goal is moa at 600 but that might be hard for the gun and load to do... I am doing this is kind of a challenge to see just how far you can push a 50 grain vmax in a 223... I have had numerous people say dont shoot past 500 yards with it... well its still working at 600 and I have 200 yards more space.

For my scope calcuations and drop I used an internet program it worked quite well it was only off 2 clicks at 300 and a few at 600 for elevation.

If anyone has tips on how to lower the trigger pull weight on a 700 without replacing the trigger could you let me know this gun has a very heavy unresponsive trigger its either go or no go which really dosent help when your trying not to move at 600 yards.

Unfortunatly I left my digital camera at home so no pictures of 600 yards or the targets... next time

That's some nice shooting as well as some interesting slow twist/heavy bullet target results.



I have dealt with Andrew a couple of times and he is very good to deal with

Once the crops are off I can get back to trying some long distance shooting again... I have loaded up some 69 grain noslers to give it a shot for tighter groupings... at 600+
 
Oh hey it's you, the guy I'm buying my turret press from.

This is exactly why you buy reloading gear from this guy, he actually reloads and shoots. That and you're supporting small busines, one that can mysteriously be 3% cheaper than wholesale sports on most of the stuff he sells.

I bought my first reloading press and dies from this fine fellow. Lee breech-lock anniversary works. Has worked great for .45acp, .45colt, .454casull, .223/5.56x45, 30-06, .308win

Heres a load I made for my Tikka tactical .308 24" barrel. It worked unbelievably in 2 Tikka tactical .308, 2 Remington 5R Milspec and 2 DND AR-10s(armaLite). The above mentioned rifles have 1/11.25" twist rates.

The load was used full resized FC(federal) brass, 168gr Sierra MatchKings HPBT, 43.4gr of IMR 4064, CCI Bench Rest primers and a cartridge length of 2.8"

All documented in the following write ups.

**This load was fired out of 24" barrels. I have not had the same success with it out of 18.6" barrels with the same twist rate.(RFB)**

well i got the nano tumbler and man i have put it threw its paces it is amazing i can do 125 .223 brass in under an hour and looks better then factory.it has been going almost st=raight for the last 2 days tumbling all my brass i have stock piled and no prblems yet. nice and quite also thanks again drew i might be buying another in the neer future.
