I was overhauling a 1911 No.1 MkIII that has been languishing in the back of the safe for many, many years. At sometime in it's life it got a '41 barrel and a few other new parts. One of them was a zamak No.4 butt plate. Not happy with leaving that in place I jumped on-line looking for a proper one. Cheapest one was on ebay in a buy it now, with screws. Didn't need screws but always a good item for the spares box. Got the shipping notice that same day. Two or three days later it shows up. I hadn't noticed until I looked at the return address that I'd bought from Liberty Tree Collectors. First purchase from them. I opened the bag, unwrapped the butt plate and Oh crap! There's a big DP stamped in it. I jumped online and messaged Liberty Tree through the ebay message system explaining that I'd like to swap the part out for something without a DP marking. About an hour later I got a message from them saying, "Sorry, replacement will be shipped today." A couple hours after that the shipping notice pops up. A few days later and a new part shows up. No hassle, no fuss just some great customer service. This was my first time buying from them, probably won't be the last.

The only thing to be aware of with Liberty Tree, is that they seem to be under the impression that there's still a $100USD ITAR limit for Canadians. The actual limit is $500USD. As a consequence of this, they refuse to ship stocks to Canada - and they occasionally have No.1 and No.4 forends...
