I bought a Win 70 featherweight 25.06 rifle (to me) that was originally customize by Nobby Uno some time ago for someone else. The rifle is impeccable but has no marking on the barrel. How can get the work done identify. Should I contact the smithy or ...

I guess the question I have to ask is what information are you trying to get that you do not already know? And, how would that information help you? In my experience with gunsmiths, most do not keep an extensive record-book of every job they have done.
