Cut corn field coyote

Did two sets at first light on another farm with no luck. Got to this farm and setup sometime after 9am. Played some dying rabbit sounds on and off before this female coyote pops into the cut corn field 12 minutes in. She started making her way up the fence/bush line but after 20 yds or so, she stopped and started to turn away. I yelled out a loud WOLF sound, she stopped and I took the 100 yd shot off my makeshift tree branch monopod because I forget my shooting sticks in the truck
At the shot, she dropped so fast I thought I missed. They blend in so well that I didn't notice her dead until I walked up to the impact site. I didn't see her dead until I got about 10 yds away... We could use one inch of snow. Anyway, another great morning hunt.

Those yodel dogs blend in so well I know I would have a hard time spotting them.
Do they sound off first or are you scanning the field for them?

Hardly ever sound off, usually they just show up, so yes, just scanning the field

Two weeks ago we got 2 1/2 feet in 48 hours now gone again. I hope it’s not going to be an up and down winter.

Nicely done. I got out to the farm late this morning, only to find a coyote running across the field, maybe 100' from where I set up. Ah well.

Good shot. My "Coyote Field " beside the house with a bait pale is never the best when corn stubble
is present , ( like now) especially with not snow like you do. I try driving my truck over the stubble but that does not
work very well to flatten it down. I just wait for snow now.
