Years ago cutting birdshot shells was a popular trick in the Maritimes for collecting a deer, legal or not.

That’s right MW. An old timer (80 at that time) showed me that trick 40 years ago in NB.

Good video ,Years ago when my sons were young and they were going through hunter training I was forever telling them to watch their muzzle.One day I took a big can of stewed tomatoes ,set it on a post backed up 20 feet and pounded it with a 12g 3" copper BB ,told them that's what could happen to someone if you fail to watch you're muzzle.Never an issue after that must be the red ,the chef boy ardee in the video reminded me of that day..
