Cutting down a barrel on semi-auto?

Yes, and Casey can likely do it for you.

If yours is a gas operated semi, like the 1100 or 11-87, there is a possibility that with a shorter barrel, you will wind up more ammo sensitive. The gas ports can with care be drilled out a touch more to compensate.

Inertia guns like the Benelli are pretty much immune to this problem. Some other gas systems use very little gas and bleed off the excess.

Thanks. I bought a Winchester 1400 CHEAP and Casey is going to chop and crown it.
Apparently not the best platform, but he should be able to make it work with specific loads.
Now do I want to shoot skeet or zombies?
