Cutting down a ML barrel

Thinking about bobbing the barrel length on my cheapie CVA 54 Bobcat. If I understand from a legal standpoint I can go to 18" but even shorter (mindfull of the 26" requirement) if I have a "manufacturer" like Epps do it for me.

From what I have read many guys find little or no MV change and in sone cases an increase

Anyone shortened a ML barrel and care to share their experience or a picture ?
