I’ve got an old beater Colt Army Special that I’ve wanted to do the same thing with. Not really practical, I just want it as short as legally possible. I’ve looked all over for barrels and there are none to be found for the Colts except Numrich and they won’t ship barrels up here.
Of course it’s a lot easier to replicate the Colt barrel because it has no underlug. If I ever get around to it I’ll get a quote for both methods. Would love to have it done to a prohib Colt PPS as well but that’s a logistical nightmare since I don’t have 12.X
