Anybody know where a guy can get his hands on one of these? I would order it if i have to, its just hard to find anyone who carries CVA stuff outside of their muzzleloaders. Any help would be appreciated.
Bump. I've been searching the interwebs for canadian distributors of their centerfires - no dice. I'm not sure, but I seem to recall Hoytcannon having some knowledge though.
I sent off a quick e-mail to CVA's contact page last week; they finally responded to me with this.
Sean,
The same groups that bring in our muzzleloading models also bring in the single shot centerfire models. A lot of times if you do not see a particular model in stock usually it means either the store is out of stock on that model or they don't carry it. It is a little more difficult getting centerfire rifles into Canada than muzzleloaders, but we do have stores up there that do carry the centerfire line.
If you call Tri-Omf Sports at 450-652-5515 they can tell you which stores carry the centerfire rifles in Canada.
A couple of years ago I bought I cva apex in 30 06 at basspro. My local sail did have the cva apex in a muzzleloader and indicated he could get barrels. His distributor was North silva. I traded the apex due to the fact barrels were due damn expensive and if I had to get one the only cva I would buy is a cva accura v2 or cva optima. They require no permits to import muzzleloader in Canada. You can buy a cva accura in the states and bring it out no problem but with the exchange rate cheaper in Canada. Try basspro for the scout.
