CVA Wolf

Once you spend $250-$300 for the rifle, it's gonna cost about $125- $150 for the accessories needed to fire the first shot.

And $3 a shot in pellets or $2.50 per shot in powder. It's a niche, you got to enjoy. You can shot lead conials at about $1.50 a shot but you will have to work the load as 1/28 is a fast twist for pure lead.

I have a wolf and use it on deer and paper. I shoot hornady xtp 240gr bullets in mmp sabots. i buy the pistol bullets for reloading i find it cheaper to by the bullets and sabots seperate than in the kits. I used 2 pellets of triple 7, but will be trying blackhorn 209. One thing i have found is that when using the 777 pellets it is better to use a muzzle loading 209 primer as you will get more shots before a crud ring forms in the barrel preventing proper bullet seating.

^^^This... You can reduce the costs by buying sabots in bulk and appropriately sized pistol bullets. You will find that ML are quite fun to shoot. You have to clean them immediately when back from the range to prevent rust. I would also suggest to check it again a few days later, especially if the ML is to be put away for an extended period. Simply run a patch down the barrel and it will then be obvious if more (or better....) cleaning is required...
