CX4 Storm as first firearm purchase

Accuracy is OK. Without mods it may be close to 3" at 100 yards in experienced hands. There is a bit of dependancy on bullet type, hollow points for example make much more stable bullet, be it 115, 124 or 147 grain - they are all generally better bullet for this particular gun. I was shooting two storms so I guess I can generalise.

Mods to consider:

longer barrel to non-restrict it, thats where real fun starts. I have custom made heavy profile and weighted fore end.

trigger - there is an easy fix for it, google and you will find it.

optics - forget the red dots - put some half-decent scope on it. You will need short scope on high mounts and you will have to trim rear sight guard a little bit for scope to clear it.

Do you know what the twist rate the barrel is? And also what weight bullet did you find most accurate?

Twist rate - I am not sure, I think it is 10:1. As for bullets I found its not that much of a bullet weights as it is FMJ vs HP bullets. Stay away from 90 grainers, those aren't accurate in any shape or form. HP bullets are all major improvement over FMJ, although I think 147grainers are the most accurate out of my bull barrel and 115 grainers hollow points were the most accurate out of noodle-thin barrel as well as original Beretta's short and thin barrels. But like I said - difference isn't that big between 115, 124 or 147 grainers as long as they are hollow pointers. As soon as you switch to FMJ ones accuracy drops off significantly.
 
I've had my eye on the storm, it's time for a 9 mm carbine non restricted. The storm might just fit the bill. I'd say it is an awesome first rifle, if it is non restricted what you want. If restricted is ok with you then go for an AR15, better all around especially if shooting service rifle or shooting past 100 or 200 m. Just my 2 c.
 
I'm definitely interested in getting a non-restricted storm, but i'm wondering what the non-restricted barrel that ellwood-epps uses looks like?
Does anyone have pictures of an ellwood-epps converted cx4?
I've also noticed that BitsofPieces in Delta B.C. also sells non-restricted barrels for the storm. Are those the same ones that Epps uses?
