After regretting selling off my Citori in 28 gauge, and looking for a lightweight 28gauge to take it's place, I found a great deal on a Cynergy Feather in 28gauge at Wholesale Sports. The sale price is $1699, and Browning has a $100 rebate on the Cynergy. As well, I had a $20 discount card from WSS so taxes and all, after I receive the rebate, my total cost including taxes will be around $1665 for the gun. I am not crazy about the plastic on the Cynergies, but the gun fits me perfectly, and at under 6lbs, the gun will be a joy to carry, and the 28gauge will be fine for upland birds.
 
Being that I have owned many Citori shotguns, but have no experience at all with the Cynergy, I was a little hesitant to try a gun with such a different action, as well as the plastic parts. However, it fit so well, and was so light, and the price was so attractive, that I just couldn't resist trying one out. I must admit though, that I was surprised to see that the MSRP is actual higher on the Cynergy Feather, than on the Citori Feather.
 
Out of curiosity, is the plastic component(s) part of the action build? And what part(s) is that?

If memory serves, about year or so ago, Epps had a couple of 28 Cynergy Satin Classic (plain/unadorned receiver) marked for $1350.

I do like the Citori Superlight Feather in 28ga....wonder if that is being brought back into production again since it was in the 2012 shotshow.

There is a spacer between the lower barrel and the fore end that appears to be plastic. It isn't a part of the action itself, but I would rather have it metal.

I was offered a great deal on a 20 gauge Superlight Feather, but that straight stock doesn't feel right to me.
 
Have heard good things about the 28 gauge Browning Cynergy.I am sure you will be happy with yours.

What upland game do you hunt?
 
I was not impressed with the Cynergy's. As mentioned there is plastic in evidence and the Waterfowl version I examined left alot to be desired in fit and finish, especially for a 1600$ O/U.
