Hi guys.

Does anyone have a cz .22 conversion kit? I just bought a shadow and i was curiouse if the kit was worth the 600 bucks? I love my shadow and it would be nice to practice with it cheaply. But for 600 i could get a complete gun with lots of extra mags like a ruger or browning. (or 4 more norc m-93s lol)

So anyone have a review of it for me?

Description:
The CZ 75 KADET CONVERSION KIT is a separate accessory for the CZ 75/85 pistol series allowing shooting with .22 LR cal. cartridges. The CZ 75 KADET CONVERSION KIT features its own sights adjustable for elevation and windage, so the sighting-in of the pistol is not affected. Likewise other typical features of the CZ 75/85 pistol line are retained.

Price: $589.99 +tax

It's one of if not the best conversion kit made.

We seem to get burned on the price for some reason as they are about $350-$400 in the US if I recall correctly.

For a CZ it's your only option.....but you are in look because it is well made and accurate! Just a bit overpriced in Canada right now for some reason?

Compared to a Kimber 1911 conversion I prefer the CZ because it still feels(weight) like a centerfire in the hand.

I bought my wife an actual CZ Kadet. Not a conversion. It's the same thing except she cant put a 9mm conversion on it.

Was it more expensive then other .22 handguns? Yes.
Does it shoot well? Yes, very well I must say.
Will it eat any ammo I have in .22LR and still run flawlessly? Yes.

The last point made it for me. The last thing I wanted for my wife and my daugther who also shoot occasionnaly is to screw around with a gun that gets FTE, FTF or needs special ammo to run good.

the only negative thing I dont like about it is that it's a little harder to rack the slide since it's "thinner". But since it never jams or have issues, it's really not a biggie.

I have been feeding mine Winchester Xpert, the silver boxes at 19.99 at Walmart since I've had it, more then 1500 down the pipe with very little issues that I am scratching to bulk .22LR ammo, not the gun.

I'd buy another one in a heartbeat if something was to happen with this one.

Skyllz, How much was your kadet? If $589.99 +tax is the going rate for the conversions up here a guy might do better to just buy the kadet?
I seem to remember them being around $600 as well....

I'd have to dig up the bills, it was around 650-675 if I remember right. I had ordered 3 guns at the same time so I don't remember the individual prices.

So yeah, it's a little pricey but oh well, cant have it all.

At least the quality is worth the price.....I'm just amazed that retailers have to charge $600 for the conversion when the whole gun can be had for another $100 or so...?

Something is wrong with the wholesale prices of the CZ conversions right now in Canada.

I got one a year back. It will occasionally stovepipe or fail to feed . I think the mags are not seating deep enough. Like Skyllz says it is alittle awkward to pull the slide. I will be changing recoil spring and work on mags shortly. I got mine with three mags in trade for a 400.00$ pistol.

the Kadet gun now sells for upwards of $900 making it more pricy than most of their center fire guns which is totally ####ed!!!!!

That said it is by far the most reliable, accurate conversion out their.

Mine ate everything I through at it and to this day I can't shoot anything better, or even close to some of the groups I was shooting with that gun!
