CZ.22 steel mags?

Just wondering if anyone knows a place to buy factory steel mags for my soon to arrive 452FS? A friend of mine says his local shop has 10 round OEM steel mags for about $60, but I thought CZ stopped making the 10 round Steel mags? He says they have 5 and 10 round in stock, I just dont want aftermarket junk,,i want OEM. Any way to tell the difference between factory and aftermarket steel mags?

Not aware of anyone making aftermarket mags for the 452's. The newer 455's magazine is identical and interchangeable with the 452. At some point a small mod was made on the older mags...a tiny semi circular cutout to help feed better. The ten rounders are available and that price looks about right....I paid 45$ for a 5 rounder a few months back.
 
They still make the 10-rouders, my local store brought two in -- they are not afraid to charge for them though, i think after tax came up to 60 bucks each

Edit: mine were oem and did not have the little circular cut out, but the crappy plastic one that came with the rifle did
 
Del Selin has a few of 5 and 10's as well.
Prices looked decent enough too.
Not sure what his shipping charges are.
I just like to go down and pester him.
He pester's right back.
Don't open yer wallet in front of him as he sees
what's in there and will git most.
One day I had to go to the bank as there just wasn't
enough in there for him to snatch.
Good thing he didn't see the duet of visa's in there or
I would have to wash dishes for a while.
 
the k-mag 15 rnd i got is steel and works reasonable in my scout

These are Norinco magazines and I had nothing but problems in my Brno with them (15 rounders - no expereince with the Norinco 10 round in a Brno).

Not quite, they are South African made K-Mag.
I had a 10 rounds and it worked well... but didn't like how it looked on the gun, so traded it for a BRNO 5rd.


These are the Norinco magazines that fits the CZ/BRNO... tried them, and they are not worth the trouble. Had to do quite a bit of sanding/tweaking for them to work reliably...

I looked high and low for spare steel magazines for my 452s, for the same "reason." I found some, but now it turns out the polymer magazines are lighter, more comfortable to handle and load, and they function flawlessly...

But my 10 round steel mag must be a copy from the land of chow-mein - I had to tweak it to get it work reliably with non-hollowpoint rounds.

If I were to purchase more mags, they'd be original CZ polymer mags.

Well, my Nornico rifle bought here in Canada came with the 10 round mag as displayed above in the 'green' back grounded picture (the magazine marked BR10) and the 15 (BR15) rounder I bought from K-Mag and both of them are identical. So either K-Mag is making magazines for Norinco, Norinco is making magazines for K-Mag or they are copying each other. A bit of a puzzle to be sure.

Either way I prefer actual Brno/CZ magazines in my CZ/Brno's.
