Hi All,

I have a 40P. Rare gun but my issue isn't specific to this pistol. I bought some promags for it and one drops free but the other doesn't. I can see the where the mag seems to be touching the well as the bluing is marked. Should I just file that section in order to get it to drop free? I am open to suggestions.

I also bought some uncle mike's magazine holders and I bought the double stack model. Mags are way too big. Zero retention. I am assuming I should have bought the single stack version. I have heard mags for other CZ models are interchangeable. What mag holders are you guys using?

The single stacks wont work. I wonder if you got the double stack for the 45's as usually the double stack for 9/40 will work altho the tension may need some adjustment depending on gun model. As for mags, I found the CZ75 Compact mags fit/function just fine altho they are flush with the grip base. You'll like that gun. Not a lot made but they sure are nice. One of my favorites in the collection

As far as I know the mag holders aren't model specific. This is the one I got. Here.

It is so loose don't know if tension will work. I do love this pistol. The pro mag doesn't sit fully flush but close. It is the final link in my set up for this pistol. Maybe some aluminum grips.

By the minimal answers I received in this thread I would imagine this doesn't affect too many people but I did manage to adjust the tension on the uncle mike's mag holsters to the point where retention is almost perfect. FYI, 40p mag and cz75 mag is the same thing, so anyone with 75b mags can take note.

As for the promag issue, I turned the pistol over to Rob (Slavex) and he showed me how it was seating way higher than the other promag. He will look at it some more I believe while he adjusts my DA trigger as it is very gritty and the polar opposite of smooth. I am a total newb with pistols and I need some serious trigger time but I hope a smoother DA trigger will help. He shot pretty well a single hole at 5 yards with it so I know it is not the gun.
