CZ 416 Rigby action for 338 LM

Has anyone ever seen or built a 338 LapMag on a CZ action? Costs aside, These don't have much of a following so I was wondering if there was a good reason...

Any action that has housed a 416 Rigby will work with the Lapua.

That includes Rugers, Wby, CZ/Bruno, Enfield P14's, and possibly HOWA's.

My guess is that Savage will come up with a LA rifle in the coming season. They seem to be right on top of shooting trends and the Savage is easily modified to handle the wider cartridge. That was shown when they did limited production of the Lazz monsters.

If you can find actions that housed the RUM family, that would also be a good base for modification.

The Rem700 action looks closer to reality as well.

I know a guy in Calgary that did at least one.

I owned one for a few years, it will work fine. I have one friend who still ones one and his works well also.

i believe the original design was based on the 416 rigby by the US, they then gave up on it and lapua picked up the design work with a totaly new case for the current 338lm

I knew that, that's why I asked about its use for the 338LM. Nobody has mentioned any problems with rigidity or a need to sleeve them...
