CZ 452/453 wood improving?

on the .20 rod, you mean for cleaning right? The aluminum rods will scratch up the crown?

The .20 rod is just smaller diameter, it will fit the tight bore without rubbing (would avoid aluminum rod generally as aluminum oxide is quite abrasive). Not a crown issue as can clean from breach (open bolt, hold trigger in, slide bolt out - can also hold trigger in while closing bolt to decock - acts and proof yada yada) - are not cheap but are worth it, hope you enjoy.

whats the best brand and where and what should I buy? thanks

I like the Dewey rod the best. Like lineofsight says, get a .20.

When I got my Dewey .20, I got a brass adapter to be able to use .22 brushes/jags on it. The adapter was made by Dewey, and was cheap.

Unfortunatly, the .20 rod is one of their more expensive ones. Well worth it though......

I really like the CZ rifles. I wish the Varmint had a longer barrel. I know whats on there functions fine, it just looks 2 inches too short to my eye.

I saw some in Del Selins a few weeks ago, and the wood on some of them was beautiful to be sure!
