CZ 452 & 457 parts compatibility ?

100%.........NO

yes to the mag, yes to the trigger kit guy, that's where it ends, but I did read the threaded muzzle cap is interchangable as well, but have not yet varified this myself

Not even the trigger kit; 457 is completely different.

My understanding was magazines are all that is interchangeable. The barrels on the 455 are also interchangeable with the 457 I think.

Thanks for the help, I guess finding a replacement stock will be harder than I imagined.

I think I saw a MDT CZ 452 LSS Gen 1 chassis pop up on the Black Friday sale a couple years back. Might be worth sending them an email asking about it, if a chassis stock interests you.

I bought that stock.

Thank you very much for taking the time to post that link.

Very much appreciated.
No problem, I've been browsing everything CZ rimfire in Canada the last few weeks, that's why I knew about it. If it was a few years ago Frontier was selling beautiful 452 stocks for very cheap, I think like $60, I bought two and modified them for norincos, one 22mag and one 22lr, unfortunately the 22mag was stolen a few days after I modded the stock for it. here's what they looked like.

The 452 Varmint stock I got was a direct drop in fit onto a 452 American.
Perhaps the model is not 452. The CZ 452 American has two action screws, one under the rear tang, the other ahead of the trigger. The CZ 452 Varmint has a single action screw and a barrel lug. The stocks are not interchangeable.

Barrel channel differences aside, CZ 455 stocks are interchangeable as are CZ 457 stocks.

The stock was advertised as a cz452 Varmint .....my reciever says 452 American.
It was a drop in fit.
Zero modifications.

Knowing CZ, even if one stock only uses a single screw, the action itself will still have both tapped and in place. They haven't changed the footprint in like 50 years since it's inception as a BRNO

Nice stock FCD. Classic aesthetic

While unmodified 452 American and 452 Varmint stocks for 22LR can't be swapped for the reasons noted above, a stock that originally came for a 17HMR (perhaps 22WMR also?) 452 Varmint will swap with a 452 American in 22LR.

The 17HMR CZ 452 Varmint used the CZ 452 American receiver and had the word "American" on the receiver itself. It would have the rear tang action screw and no barrel lug. The factory 17 HMR CZ 452 Varmint stock would fit a 22LR CZ 452 American barreled action.
