well, the feel is just like any 452 american, the stock is not short like on the scout.
and the balance is pretty good, i tried a bit of off hand shooting while standing and the shorter barrel is a plus because i can hold it steady for a longer period of time without shaking (less front heavy basically) due to the shorter barrel, which works for me.
