I have a Leupold 3x9 Lightweight Compact AO on mine. It seems to suit this size 22 rimfire just right. I was out with my 452 American a couple of days ago. shot some pretty impressive groups for a $450.00, 22 rimfire. Regards, Eagleye.

Depends on what it's chambered in. If you have a .22lr, I'd go with a nice little Nikon 4x or 2-7x Prostaff. Both are set at rimfire range parallax. I have 2 of them so far and LOVE them.

If you picked up a WMR or an HMR, I'd go with a 4-12 or 5-15 in a 40mm AO. I have a Bushnell Legend 5-15x40 AO on my 452 LH .17HMR and it is pretty much perfect. If I had to do it again, I might go with the Legend in 4-12 instead. The Legend line is a fantastic scope for rimfires at a great price point. Bushnell has discontinued the line and is now making the Trophy XLT in it's place but in my opinion, the Legend beats the XLT hands down.

Thanks for the replys .been surfin the scope sites and kind of like the Weaver rimfire 3-9x32 AO .its a 22lr so I think a 3-9 is all that is required.just need to find a retailer now.thanks

I put Bushnell Dusk&Dawn (spit) on my 452A. just to match the .17HMR. BUT I have a 3-9x33 Leupold in waiting for my Cooper JSR. What I love about it is the fine duplex cross hairs which is great for paper shooting and I don't care what .22 we're talking about.. The fine duplex is the way to go and thats my .2c's worth..........

Well guys im saveing up for a leupold 3-9x33 ao .so in the mean time to get me shooting i put a $ 50.00 tasco 3-9x40 and a cheap set of bushnell rings on mine .and it shoots minute of golf ball at 100 yds :D with bulk federal ammo .

I've got a Burris 3-9x40mm Ballistic-Plex with Warne rings.

I bought some BKL 257 rings because I don't like the way the Warne rings mount on the rail.

You should like your 452 American. The one of mine I have scoped so far shoots very well.:)

I have a Nikon 4x Prostaff on mine and use it frequently. Excellent glass-ask any photographer. Much less than a Leupy too. Still got my Leupy VXIII but have 3 Nikons now and not looking back. Damn they are fine glass.

Redfield 2-7x on my .22 Not a rimfire scope but it works well. I like the circle reticle. Some day I'll put a leopold EFR rimfire scope on it.

Bushnell 3200 3-10 on my .17HMR works well, could maybe use a little more magnification for shooting past 150 yards.
