Greetings rimfire fans I'm looking at a CZ 452 rimfire rifle and was wondering which bases and rings will work with these rifles...? Your suggestions are appreciated.

Burris Z rings are my favorite h ttp://www.opticsplanet.com/burris-zee-signature-1-rifle-scope-mount-rings-for-weaver-style-bases.html

With a one piece weaver base....

I use the Warne rings , the fit both the 3/8 and 11mm dovetail by flipping around the clamp tab , work great on any .22 dovetail no need for a base ,really happy with them ...

CZ actually makes rings as well, but they're (sorta) overpriced. I went that way with my 452 because they're designed so that a scope with 40mm Objective will just barely clear the the rear iron sight. Also sets the scope at a really nice height for your cheek weld.

I think I paid somewhere between $60-$70 for the pair of rings, can't remember specifically. So, like I said, a bit overpriced. But after the cost of the rifle and a Leupold and 4 spare mags, the $60-$70 was basically a rounding error in the overall cost, so I figured why no.

The barber shop in Calgary usually carries them.

Thanks for all the useful information on the rings (and a few other things). I figured that a CZ 452 - 22 rifle is nicer looking then a Savage, Less expensive then a Browning and will do the job as intended. I'm leaning towards the 452 lux so that I can test the ole eyballs on targets, and if that isn't as good as I hope it could be - I can switch to a scope.

I bought a set of leupold-part number 54321 11mm medium height for my 452 but am not comfortable with how they are fitting. Can anyone confirm this is what I need??? Its what was suggested...

Thanks,

I started to pull my hare owt when I received my CZ 452 'Merican.
The 3/8's proper rim fire rings had the wrong spread on them.
Tried Burris, Leupold, Tasco and none seem to fit properly.
The one side was spread owt too far.
Ended up with a Scorpion rim fire scope that had some cheap mounts that
fit the best.
Go figure.
Couldn't find any CZ rings and I was willing to sell a Huey for them.
This CZ needed a mount a tad wider than the 3/8" rim fire style clamp.
I guess that would direct one to the 11mm set?
And where oh where could one find such kritters?
This is what the gal is sporting now.

You are correct, it is an 11mm Dovetail on the CZ's.

On mine, I just sucked it up and paid the $70 or so for the CZ rings, but you don't need to go that far. Any 11mm base set of rings should do the trick, I'm pretty sure you can get Leupold 11mm rings for about half what I paid for my CZ's. I have to admit, though, the CZ rings are top notch. You just need to remember to completely remove all the screws and wash them with Isopropyl to get rid of the preservative grease they come shipped with, otherwise they will eventually work loose.

Most of my rifles are fun guns. This one is my baby, and has dropped north of 1000 gophers.

Not all 452 are 11mm

I am positive I have one that isn't. How do I measure or where do I measure to find out. I drove an hour one way to buy a set of 1mm Leupolds but as stated am not comfortable with how they look. They appear to be to narrow, if that makes sense....

There are some older CZ Americans that have 3/8" rings- not all are 11mm. Some rimfire rings can be used on 3/8" or 11mm- you just flip the "clamp" part. It is best to mate the rings with the scope as getting clearance for the bolt may require higher than expected rings for the scope you are going to use. Check out the rimfire central scope and ring reference for a combo that will work for you as not everything will...

You don't need 3 bolt tactical boat anchor rings for a rimfire- there is no recoil.

Check DIP Inc. They list rails for 452's, 453's and 455's.
I was looking for a Picatinny rail for a CZ455 American as I had a scope in Weaver Rings.
Prior to that I was using Leupold Ring Mounts with a Weaver T36.
