Does anybody know who sells these in Canada?
Here's a link to basically what I am looking for: http://ww w.diproductsinc.com/Detail.aspx?PROD=112046&CAT=3600
Also,
I need rings for my Zeiss scope (1") to be used on the above rail on my CZ 452 Varmint .22lr, and am unsure which ones to get. I would preferably like to get aluminum so I can keep the weight low.

Any ideas on both are much appreciated.

Thanks!

Not sure about that mount. I looked at similar ones and decided to go in another direction based on what "locks" them down.
I went with this

Much more solid, although somewhat ugly. The dovetail on the cz is so short, I like that this rail extends forward some, providing for more options and better ring spacing.
Just another option for you to consider. I ordered it directly from them.

Thanks jperos.

I'm going to call Richard Near tomorrow and see if he can custom build me a base. As for the rings, I'm thinking that the Leupold Mk 4 aluminum rings may work but I also think they may be a bit too big for my setup.

Try EGW. They make a nice base which works with the 3/8" and the 11mm dove tails on the CZs. They also come with a 0 moa or 20 moa. The only problems is that they are pricey.

I've decided to stick to the factory weaver setup. I don't think there is any advantage in going with a picatinny setup, except for gaining extra and unnecessary height and weight. My setup now is super clean and light.

I did it because:
1. I question the strength of a dovetail ring setup, especially with a large scope.
2. The dovetail ring selection is terrible
3. The cz american's have an odd size dovetail and 90% of rings offset the scope to the receiver.

I didn't do it because:

1. CZ knows their stuff. The factory dovetail is plenty strong for my application regardless of the scope size. How often have you read about people's dovetail setup breaking?
2. I am using Leupold high rings which seem to be much better quality than 90% of the other rimfire rings out there, imo.
3. My rifle is a 452 Varmint - it has an 11mm dovetail (the American has a ³⁄₈" dovetail) ;)

I'm not so much worried about them breaking as much as I am losing POI from bumps and such
My favorite dovetail rings are BSA believe it or not. I'm not overly impressed by the leupolds.
The american claims to have a 3/8" dovetail. It is not however. I bet there are hundreds of cz owners out there who don't pay enough attention to notice that their scope is not centered on the receiver.
