I guess it is the enfielder in me, but the full stock version of the 452 appeals to me.
Has anyone have good or bad stories about the gun?

Nothing bad to say about this one, it always gets compliments and shoots great right out of the box.

Only weird thing is the plastic nose cap, I've been looking into a metal replacement but had no luck so far. I know there's been threads about it before but don't think anyone has gotten one yet.

And also, in my area no one really stocks it so when I ordered mine it was a crap shoot as per what kind of wood you're getting. Mine's pretty nice but I've seen some that are real nice and dark, almost like a zebra stripes on it.

Only good things to say about mine, have good wood too!
I didn't want to install a scope on this one to break the line of the rifle, so I installed a Tech Sight kit, much more accurate for my eyes than the stock ones.

I just ordered from Prophet River. Great service, and they offered to hand pick the wood based on my preference. They guy I talked to (Clay, I think) was very good on the phone, a cut above some of the places I have ordered from.
I am really excited to get my order. They were really good about wood selection, and even offered to check the next shipment for exceptional wood for mine. I am really pleased with their service. Prophet River seems to be a great choice.

sure looks sweet eh...I would love one in 22 mag, and keep it sans scope.
Did hear there was a replacement nose cap for that rifle,a metal one, don't know if its any nicer, but should not effect c of g being such a small part.

Congrats, nice rifle for sure and Clay is top notch to deal with. I will be leaving more of my money with him in the future....

I believe someone on rimfire central mentioned that the nosecap for the 550fs fits the 452fs. You may want to check it out a little more before ordering though.

On Rimfire Central someone also sells metal clip wells I have FS model
17hmr, the clip well is plastic with a metal clip release lever, plus
plastic nose cone, these are the only two items I will change out.
I put a Yo-Dave trigger kit improved the trigger 100% had way too
much creep and trigger was too heavy out of the box other than that
nice gun.

Shhh!:wave:Stop talking about the FS. There are so few available and I don't want them to be sold out before my PAL comes in.

If its made like my CZ452 American it must be a delight to shoot and certainly is purdy with or without nice lumber. Classic lines or what??? Still I will keep my American and they probably dont make the FS in leftie either. Nice

Yeah the 550 nose cap should fit, I talked to the two shops that I go to (Le Baron and The Gun Room) and they said that their suppliers can't get those parts. Could just be blowing smoke up my butt, I read on other forums in the US they just got it directly from CZ for $25 including delivery, don't know if it would be problematic shipping to Canada.

Full Stock

I was fortunate to buy the first one from the EE, a real fine piece of wood, and super accurate. After I shot it I had to PM the fellow I bought it from and ask how he could possibly sell off a rifle that looks and shoots so very well. He ways just happy that I liked it. I bought another just in case they do not bring them out in the new 455 that is coming out soon.
I have a great many 22's, BRNO's, older Winchesters, all of the CZ models, and my Full stock is the most accurate of the bunch.
I'll See if I can get my bud to post a couple of photos in this thread. FS

Picking one up tomorrow.................

Unfortunately for me it's a 65th birthday gift for the old man.

Wonder if he'd notice if I shot it first?:D

I've got a BRNO 2-E which I love but the FS is just pure ###y.

Any new owners of the FS models? Thinking that one of these would look good in my gun case and was wondering if there's anyone that wants to update this thread... Cheers, and Happy Easter!
