Trying to decide on whether to purchase the 452 lux or 455 standard looking for a suggestion on which way to lean...any advice would be greatly appreciated!

If you don't think you'll be swapping out the barrel, get the 452 for the much better sights.....if you want to swap barrels, then the 455 is the only choice.

I'm a walnut guy, so the Standard wouldn't be an option for me. Don't like the 455 Lux, or is it an availability issue?

The rest are right about the tangent sights (452) and barrel swapping (455), so pick whichever you prefer.

I have a 455 Standard because the wood was nicer(I was surprised too) and I preferred the shorter barrel.

That 452 Lux barrel is really long.....

The 452 Ultra Lux has the really long barrel at 28.6"

The 452 Lux is 24.8"

And I would go with the 452 over the 455.

Some of you guys say buy the CZ 452 NOT the 455. May I ask why the preferance?

Thanks.

I have an american 452 and 455. I like the 452 better. The barrel is longer and I like the profile of it better. Also feels like a bigger rifle then the shorter lighter 455. The action on the 452 feels like it locks up tighter with the 2 lugs but for a rimfire It doesn't really matter. Both are stupid accurate anyway so in reality doesnt really matter. Given the option I would take the 452 first every time though.

I really like the CZ 550 LUX, 527 LUX, and the 452 LUX or any Brno that is the same thing. However, I do not like the new 455 LUX. I actually like the longer barrel of the 452, the Bavarian stock, and the schnabel forend , Because of that, when I finally pick myself up a CZ 455, Its going to be a full stock in .22 Magnum.

I have both 452 and 455's its a coin toss as to the go to. Scout for quick lite fun,455 varmint for tack driving gophers and 17hmr for laser flat out past 100yds.
All will serve you well. The 452 platform will be displaced by the 455.The 455 let you do some barrel swapping in about 3 min of time with good repeatable accuracy.
Find a buddy with a gun and try it out.Buy one of each you can't go wrong. :)
