Hello again

Ive been asking a lot about the CZ 452 and 455 American . Now for another question or 2 if i may . Which one is better suited for Silhouette shooting straight out of the box ? And secondly , which one is better suited with minor modifications ? Whats the biggest difference between the 2 ?
And if you dont mind , please explain your choice or opinion on why you would choose either or ?

Thanks

There is a 452 Silhouette model, but it's probably is not available new any longer. The general consensus that the many CZ posters on Rimfire Central is that both the CZ 452 and 455 are equally accurate. The main difference between the two is that the 455 has the ability to swap barrels by removing two grub screws. Any CZ 455 barrel will fit on any CZ 455 action. Some 455 barrels have iron sights, the American and Varmint configurations do not. For Silhouette shooting, however, the Varmint is probably less desirable because of its extra weight.

Of all the CZ's .22LR rifles I've had, my most accurate is a 452 American. Some CZ users have had quality issues, but that can and does occur with every make of rifle, even more expensive ones.
