I was wanting to hear experiences about these 2 little rifles. I decided I didn't like my 10-.22, and have it sold. I like using the low velocity rounds for shooting gophers... So, I'm looking for a bolt fun now to take it's place. I'm kinda leaning towards buying the 455 for the interchangable barrels, but would buy a good 452 if it came along... Looking in the .22lr for now...

What are people's experiences with these guns here??
 
The 455 is very nice. High quality and accurate. I guess I bought one of the early ones----had problems ejecting and extracting spent rounds, so back it went on warranty..

Anyway, to make a very very very very long story short---I got the rifle replaced on warranty, but the ordeal left a bad taste in my mouth, and though I'm happy with my new 455, I never managed to re-kindle my love affair with it.
 
I love my 452s. The trigger is adjustable to a point, after that I put a yodave kit in them. Very accurate and well made. A pleasure to shoot. Haven't tried a 455 yet, but did order one so I could try it.
 
My Czech friend has a Brno 452. Back in the day when they imported the CZ 452 with Brno markings on it. The CZ 452 is just a Brno Model 2. Anyways, I love his Brno 452. Yes the trigger is adjustable. He has his set to hair trigger pull. You just have to look at it and it goes off. Super accurate because it surprises you every time it goes off. A lot of people don't like it like that, but once you get use to a hair trigger, you never want to go back to anything else.

I have a Ruger 10/22 and I can understand why some people can't put up with one and would want something else. You pretty well have to sink an additional $100 into your stock 10/22 to get it to shoot like a CZ 452 or 455. That being said, i still love my Ruger 10/22. It’s got me 2 grouse last hunting season just from me driving home from my range which is located out on the logging roads. The barrel changing process on the CZ 455 is a pain in the ass so I wouldn't look at that as a plus other than its easy to re-barrel it if you can even manage to shoot 50,000 rounds wear out the barrel. Apparently the 455 is slightly more accurate than the CZ 452 as claimed by CZ. I really want to get a CZ 455 LUX FS in .17HMR. I already have a .22LR and there is no point in getting another one. What’s sweet about the .17HMR is you can get the same size groups a .22LR gets at 25m at 50m and then the same size groups at 100m that a .22LR gets a 50m. (Assuming it’s a nice day out with not too much wind.)
 
Have both, love both. Don't decide based on interchange bbl as they are hard to come by up here. There have been some but my 17 bbl has been on order for about 3 months now.

Mine are: Scoped 455 hb thumbhole and 452 full stock both in 22lr. Both excellent shooters and yes, you will notice a substantial difference from your 10/22....
 
I've got an old BRNO model #2-cut and recrowned the 26''barrel ,and its as good a .22 as you can get.The only thing wrong with it is I have no excuse for buying anymore .22's[not that that stopped me]
 
I don't have a 455, but have 4-452's .22lr, .17hmr, .22wmr all in the varmint model and my scout is in canada post hands. I love the fit and finish on these rifles. Accuracy is great so far, there all fairly new. I looked at the 455 but like bollox said the barrels are far & few between. For me it was just easier to buy 3 separate rifles then to purchase and swap barrels.
 
452's are accurate! I recently bought a 452 American, mounted a Weaver T36 scope with Leupold rings (#54234). It's a keeper. Here's a target from this past weekend, 10 shot group at 100 yards with SK Standard Plus. There's an empty .22 LR case in the picture for a size reference.

That is one heck of a fine group for 100 yards. I have many 22's and my favorites are my CZ's. I have a varmint, a Lux, a silhouette, an American, a 16 inch and a Super Exclusive and they all shoot very well. FS
 
definitely good info. I guess I'll have to see what comes up for sale here. Especially when I get access to the EE forums... If not, there are a few places around that have those rifles kicking around. I however do seriously doubt that the sights will be in line for it when I get it, as I like using subsonic ammo, and not the reg or high velocity stuff...
 
The guys over at rimfire central seem to think the 452 is the better gun. They discontinued them so don't wait too long picking one up if you decide on it.

I have an American that I put the yodave kit in, very accurate and the trigger breaks so easy and crisp, it's beautiful. I had one in 17hmr as well but as I only had 100 yard ranges at the time it was pointless, it was a laser beam, though.

Just picked up a CZ scout too, supposedly as accurate as the big brother, going to find out this weekend hopefully! Going to drop in a spring from the yodave kit today. (it comes with 6 or 7 springs of different weights :))

Hello, I'm curious where you read that CZ claimed the 455 was more accurate than the 452's?
