Decided to go have some fun this morning with a new chronograph (caldwell precision). Worked well once it and I figured out how to cooperate, still not managed to get it to talk to my phone to make this easier to record.

Upfront, know that I'm just learning and you shouldn't take my accuracy results seriously at all. I didn't measure them but did include them for interests sake. All shooting was done from the bench with a front rest only, 10 round groups to attempt to get enough data to be meaningful. That did not work out very well at first...

CZ 452 2E ZKM topped with a vortex 2-7 rimfire. I love the gun, not so much the scope; eyebox is really small and frustrating. All shots taken at 5x magnification at 25 meters.

Wind was 10kph gusting to 60kph, coming from 9 to 3 oclock, strongest at 12 oclock. If you didn't already have enough reason to throw out my accuracy results...

I was originally going to stop at 6 groups but the CCI clean subsonics really took me by surprise with their velocity being so consistent. Standard deviation is more math than I'm willing to do but suffice to say it was pretty darn low.

Velocity data, chrono was 5 feet from muzzle:

fed 525 bulk
1231 average

winchester wildcat 50rd box
1226 average

Federal Range Target Practice 50rd box
1219 average (could not get these to record, PEBKAC)

American Eagle High Velocity 50rd box
1226 average

CCI MiniMag 100rd box
1259 average

CCI Clean Sub Sonic 100rd box
1051 average

CCI Clean Sub Sonic (second group)
1043 average

CCI MiniMag (second group)
1239 average

Were you testing CCI MiniMags RN or HP.
Your velocities are in-between the two at 1235 and 1260(HP's).
From my 455 the HP's were around 1300 fps and the RN around 1200.
When velocity was really consistent grouping was under 1" at 100 yards but rarely ever consistent.
The really consistent RN was showing 4 and 9 fps spreads . . . but I only had 35 rounds of that old lot number.

Round nose now that I look. I didn't know they came in different flavors! Box states 1235fps.

I'm looking forward to trying the clean ss ones at 100 when it's calm out because of the low ES and SD. I've got CCI SV on the way as well.

Dud rifle. Part it out, you'll get more than $100 for the stock alone, maybe $250 even for just the receiver. Pull that crap barrel off first, though, and tie this years tomatoes to it. :d

Are your groups at 25 meters, 50 or 100?

Btw, this review is in my wheelhouse. CZ452 shooting cheap ammo. I’ll be watching.

Cheap ammo that shoots good gets me all kinds of excited

This is at 25m in awful wind. I'll be running more every weekend this month. I hope to standardize at 50m as long as it's not blowing a gale (like yesterday and today)

YOU SHOULD HAVE JUST ASKED WHICH BUDGET AMMO WILL MY 452 SHOOT BEST, AMERICAN EAGLE, EVERY TIME.....fs

Same conclusion with my 452. I'll shoot just about anything out of it at gophers, and get good results, but for the best results on a budget, its the American Eagle having tested them all (budget ammo) on paper at 50 yards.

I don't know why but I have some kind of bias against it. Which is probably why it shot so well, just to get my goat. Worse still I'll own up to yanking the trigger really bad that threw the flyer. I'll be running all this again over the Chrono at 50m soon. This is not over, it has only begun haha.

Recent batch of ae from a lgs has been a complete disaster thank goodness I didnt buy the case, and just one 400rd brick. Atleast 2 duds per box and a few you had to check that they made it out of the barrel.

Some years back when I had cci blazer my cz 452 varmint groups less than 1/4” at 50 yards with that stuff. Tiny little groups. Used to shoot blazers a lot through it. Never see that ammo locally

Can buy Blazer in my area of Ontario even at Canadian tire. I had good luck with it in my CZ as well. It’s $35-40 a brick so cheap plinkin ammo with good accuracy and I never experienced any FTF in the thousands I’ve shot.

It's my go-to range ammo for both my Ruger Mk II and Marlin M-60. I've yet to have a single feeding, firing, or ejecting problem with Blazer in what has to be quite a few thousand rds to date.
Winchester and Federal, not so much.

Same experience here, it really hasn't impressed me lately. When you can hear the difference from round to round it's pretty bad. I don't mind clearing the occasional stovepipe, but at least 1 per mag is a bit much. Both guns run like a top with Blazer, or any CCI for that matter.
