I went out and sighted in my 452 Lux today. I'm very happy with its performance. One of its notable attributes is that it seems to shoot at the exact same place no matter what ammo I tried. Velocitors, Dynapoints, Federal HV, Lapua Match, all shot at the point of aim whether at 20 meters or 50 meters.
With my Toz 78, i would shoot Dyna at POA, Velocitors would be 2" high, etc...
I have the rear sight set at the click half way between 25 and 50 meters, and the rifle shoots dead on at Both 20 and 50 meters!
This was my best group of the day. Five shots fired fairly rapidly at 50meters, sitting with the rifle held in my hands with my elbows on the bench. The flyer above and to the left of the group was my first shot, as a BP rifle went off right next to me as I pulled the trigger. Ammo was Velocitors.
Measured at 5/32".
I'm not claiming that all my groups are this good. I was actually quite shocked when I looked through the spotting scope and saw this group.
What I am saying is that the intrinsic accuracy of this rifle is excellent.
My buddy tried the CZ and was as giddy as I was with it. He asked me where he could get one and plans to pick one up a.s.a.p.
I was considering getting a scope for it, but after today, I realize that I don't really need one. the open sights are really good.
I adjusted the trigger to its minimum (factory) weight and creep and I feel no need to get a Brooks kit or Timney.
It's very nice and crisp and will serve well for the purpose of hunting.
