cz 452 thumbhole

Hey came across a 452 thumb hole stock at my lgs and have been thinking about a more accurate rimfire i have some levers and semi's that i like to plink with. I noticed that the 452's are no longer in production at least not the thumbhole stock one so is there anything i should be worried about or look for on this, there is a lot of love for the 455's around here so whats the deal with the 452. Gun seems to be in great shape but 450 out the door seems steep to me.

My first CZ was a 452 THV 22 cal. Shot great but found it too heavy for my purposes, traded it for a 452 LUX. 452's seem to have a higher regard on rimfire forums.
 
If you pick up that rifle you won't be disappointed. I have a 455 thumbhole and they are a heavier setup for sure. I also have a 452 American and the biggest difference is the swappable barrel option on the 455. There are some other minor differences but nothing big. Both are great guns, they no longer make any 452's so don't wait too long. If the gun is new or in extremely good shape $450 out the door is a good deal.
 
Just buy the gun (CZ) that you like the best. Whichever CZ you buy you will be happy with. They all shoot great and the workmanship is A+. $450 for a 452 T/H varmint is a good/fair price if the gun is in great shape. I personally prefer American and LUX over the Varmint but that's just my personal preference. Good luck deciding!
 
If you are going to shoot targets it won't be a problem.
It will be okay for gophers, shooting off a bipod.
$450 for the bare gun. Check to see if anything has been done to free float, accurize, and a YoDave trigger kit.
