My trigger isn't bad, no creep. Just a bit heavy.

Stock rifle with a banner 3x9 on it and was able to complete the 1/2 inch at 50 challenge.

Already ordered a new stock and cheek riser. Sourced the scope I want.

Now I'm looking for triggers. Who can lead me in the right direction ?

How are the timney ? Any 2 stage match triggers ?

Just be careful with the YoDave kit, if you go with one of the lightest springs and you're going to hunt with it. The heaviest of the four was the only one that I found sufficient to pass the bump test for a rifle used in the field.

This is my main issue, why I'm looking into kits. I want a 100% reliable trigger.

If you're close to a Princess Auto, they sell a bag of assorted springs for about $7. One of those with a couple coils clipped off got my 452 Varmint trigger down to 1.5 pounds. I cut the spring the same length as the original, but it's lighter gauge wire. Any less than 1.5 lbs and mine won't pass a bump test.
The rule of thumb I use is no less than 3 lbs for a hunting trigger, but that rifle doesn't get used for hunting.

Fun fact, after reading the manual (yea yea I know)

My rifle has a factory adjustable trigger... So after I go out hunting tomorrow ill tune it down to a lighter pull weight.

Hi All, I just placed my order & hopefully I will get the trigger kit, striker spring & 3/32 Pin Punch ~SOON!

I was wondering if anyone made a Youtube on how to install them? Not the best at reading instructions!!

Help, If not HOW ABOUT YOU MAKE ONE FOR ME AND everyone on CGN, LOL

YoDave does have a video out on how to install it. if you use the second lightest spring you are looking at about 1.5lbs give or take FYI - I have the DIP adj sear in my CZ455 target rifle with the YoDave 2nd heaviest spring and my trigger is in the 6-8 oz's it is supper lite, it almost scares me. it passes the bump test rear & side.

I go with the above suggestions about the trigger spring swap. I have a 455 and a friend has a 452. Out of the box the triggers were heavy but no creep at all. An easy spring swap was all it took to get a very nice light crisp trigger in both. While out of the stock and cocked, a few taps with a rubber mallet on the action verified they were safe. The springs I ordered from Fastenal were 159-A, 160-a, 161-a and 162-a. I dont remember which one we ended up with in the 452, but one of them will do the job for sure, and they are cheap. Just be sure to bump test.
