CZ 452 Ultra Lux... did many of these come to Canada?

I've never really heard of any Canadians owning any CZ 452 Ultra Lux's until a few days ago when I saw one was purchased in the EE. Unless it was just a mislabeled Lux perhaps?

Did many of these make it to Canada? Were they widely available or more of a special order kind of thing? A family member and I are picking up a pair of Lux's, but if I can get my hands on an UL, I might go that route. I kind of like the idea of the quieter report from the 28.5" barrel, and longer sight radius.

There are many Ultra's in Canada... I had one but sold it... I prefer the feel and balance of the regular Lux model.

Do you recall how much of a difference in volume was between the two? Much of an accuracy difference using open sights?

It does make a difference the extra sight radius and I don`t really notice a difference in sound. Ultra Lux are next to impossible to get now. The 452 models are only made on demand (and a lot of pleading) when I talked to CZ USA a month or so ago all 452 models are back ordered and was told 452 is pretty much something CZ does not want to produce anymore. The 455 is the companies future for rim fires. Sad

Seems the Ultra is available in the US in the $400 range. If it's a gotta have, the $200 charge to bring one here isn't out of line. I already had a Lux, really liked the looks of the Ultra and jumped on the one on the EE. My shooting is 95% off some form of rest. I always takes two guns out, the Ultra and whatever else, Evo Scout, Lux, Full stock, Anschutz, T Bolt or BMR. Since getting the Caldwell Chairpod, gun weight is not an issue. The longer bbl does make for less report when using subsonic ammo. Kinda funny at the range, guys think it will really reach out farther with the long bbl instead of loosing velocity.
