CZ 452 Varmint Range report

Cz 452

I had one of these beauties oh how I miss her but I am lookign to reunite with her or perhaps one of her sisters soon.
I see some of you cats mention floating the barrel.....that would be hard as the there is a barrel lug on the Varmint model whereas the American does not have it. I Eric Brooks'd mine and was the only mod made I too out shot the annies, what the hell was I thinking in selling her!!! UGHH!

Being it seems there are both "varmint" and "american" owners dropping in on this thread-- i dare ask the question:

Is there much of a difference between these styles? I mean besides the heavier target barrel and the styling of the stock etc.

I want one of the two, but would prefer the lighter more attractive looking american model-- provided it offered similar results on the range.

Not the american then, its got a stained white wood stock. Well its still nice , but not like a LUX or FS

That's different  : I have four American's including the the original American"CLASSIC" in 22LR, 17 HMR & 17 M-2 & they ALL have very nicely figured WALNUT stocks:dancingbanana:

I have the same exact rifle (452 varmit). I have been able to hit a golf ball at 100 yards with every round in the clip (from a bench in ideal conditions). I use it mainly on gophers and am happy with the heavy barrel because it heats up slowly when the gophers are thick. I made a mistake on the scope I put on it originaly. I did not beleve the range it would be effective to would be over 100 yards so I instaled a rifleman 2-7, the crosshairs covered small targets at 150 yards and above. I have recently purchased a BSA sweet 17
6-18 power scope and cant wait to try it.
