The 452 and 453's were not nearly as good as the 457 model with it's magnum action; it's ability to change barrels, and a multitude of improvements. Those that think differently are the cheapest of all of us, and usually collect them. He would have a a lot of trouble getting 700 dollars on our EE with the countless cheapskates on this site. They would offer him 500 cash or try to trade him for a little badger and a cheap scope.
 
I just sold a 452 locally for $600. The fellow I sold it to is very knowledgeable when it comes to 22 rimfires.

Never quibbled a little bit on price. It did have a Yodave spring kit installed and a very crappy scope mounted. No other accessories.

He was happy and I was happy.

Sometimes those "multitude of improvements" sound a lot better on paper than they prove to be when you're shooting at paper.
