Cz 453

They show up now and then, but sell quick. From the date stamps, some seem to be "found" old stock, while others are actually new production, like the 452's that keep coming. I was lucky to find a 2014 built 453 American last year with decent wood.

They are getting increasingly difficult to find. I bought two in 2015, but just looking around now and there are none to be found listed with online suppliers. Some 452's, on which the 453's are built, have been sold in the U.S. (and a few in Canada) recently, but that, too, may be coming to an end (I know it's been said before). Whittaker Guns in Kentucky has been able to secure several shipments of CZ 452 rifles over the past year or so, and they have sold out quickly. Over on RFC, a fellow reports he was told by Whittaker Guns that the recent order is the last one from the Czech Republic. In the inimitable words of that fellow, Eddie:

"If ya want one... Ya better get one ASAP. In regards to a cz-452 American nib. At least that's what whittakers just told me a few minutes ago as I asked em to please order a run of Americans with correct American threads and a 16" barrel. She said this last shipment is the absolute last ones they will get. Per cz they are really this time gonna dc the 452 platform. I know we have heard it all before but just relaying what I was told for you guys sitting on the fence about one.

P&D and Epps are the 2 sponsors that have had them in the past year. Just give them a call and let them know what you are interested in. Personally, @ $700-$800, I would rather get another 452 FS if I could find one.

Got mine in July of 15, but I think the shop mentioned it was his last one. The set trigger is nice but mine is not reliable. It will not fire a 3rd of the time. A bit annoying, but still a lot of fun to shoot.

Sorry to hijack the thread but what are peoples experience with Dlask ? Quality and timelyness of their work. I would like to have the set trigger on my 453 lux working properly, but I don't really want to be with out it for 6 months just to find out it they never fixed anything. Thoughts ?

Go to the CZ/Brno section at Rimfire Central (http://www.rimfirecentral.com/forums/) and make a post describing your 453 trigger problem. There are a lot of very knowledgeable CZ guys there who will be able to give you good advice. Maybe you can solve the problem on your own. It can't hurt.

For whomever may be interested, North Pro Sports received four 453 Lux's this morning. As of around 12:30pm, there were three left. I can't remember the price but it was under $700.

Any of them around anymore? they have been out of production for awhile. Have not seen one in a store for a year or two.

Was there not one last week or the week before in the EE for stupid easy money???
I was biting my fingers to not go into debt and buy it...
Anyways they do show up from time to time, but they do not last long .
Try a WTB advert in the EE.
