Be patient if it doesn't shoot right out of the box... Mine took a few boxes to settle down, but I'm happy with it now. I was really unhappy with the 1" groups at 50 yards- almost took it back. Kept with it and it can shoot MOA but the shooter is the limiting factor. I can't blame the rifle, it is better than I am.

Do you find cleaning it effects accuracy aswell? My savage rifles seem to like being a bit dirty, after cleaning it takes quite a few shots to get the POI back to normal.

Yes- but if it is too dirty the accuracy gets bad again. I probably don't clean it as vigorously as some may, so it seems to only need a 5rd fouling mag to get back to normal POI. I clean it before it goes back in the safe- every time. First thing at the range is load up a mag, shoot some sighters until it hits where I'm looking and good to go again...

I have also found that my rifle is pretty choosy with ammo. Hornady Vmax bullets work the best, Winchester 20gr xtp may as well be a shotgun shell...
