CZ 455 American .17

Earlier this year I bought a CZ 455 American in .17HMR from Prairie Gun Traders. Last night I mounted a Scopechief VI 2.5-8. I hooked onto my little trailer this afternoon and headed out to my part-time boss' gravel pit, and spent a few shells sighting it in. I managed to smoke a couple of gophers at a bit over 100 yds. PUTCH!!!! Those .17's do smack nice, don't they?

I plan on putting a Leupold "Rimfire" scope, maybe this winter. A friend has one on a 452 and it suits the rifle perfectly.

I found on the CZ 452 22 rim, hollow points make a definite twaaaaaaaackkkk sound
when the fur is it........

Or is that thwaaaaaaaaaaakc?

Or maybe shmaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaackz?

Depends on a head shot or gut shot. Also a gopher with a full belly makes a most pleasing sound when you nail it. Twaaaaaaaackkk or shmaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaackz it`s all good. Cz`s are a nice rifle in whatever caliber.

I had a 452 in 17hmr, it was deadly accurate. I wish we had some gophers out this way.
