Any one shooting this 16.5 barrel length.with the 455 platform this may be a good option to have a lighter gun in the bush and still have acceptable accuracy as the 452 Scout is a great shooter and shares the same barrel length.Cz sell the 16.5" barrel.I think I would try it out if the other owners here have any experience with that gun.
Lets hear from the cz shooters.

I had a 452 in 16.5 and it was the most accurate 22 lr I ever owned. A 16.5" is perfectly suited for the 22 lr according to the experts on RFC.

Every review I have read on the 16.5 barrelled Czs have been positive, as in at least as accurate as longer barrelled versions, with little or no decrease in muzzle velocity. Experts say 16 to 18 inches is optimum for 22lr, velocity wise. For accuracy 16 to 18 inches is also ideal because their shorter barrel time means less chance for barrel whip or recoil or flinch to affect accuracy. Less whipping because shorter barrels are more rigid (given the same barrel diameter of profile ).

Couple years ago I even thought of selling my Varmint for a Scout but decided to keep it. If ever I add another 22 to my modest collection it will definitely be a 16 to 18 bbl.
