Cz 455 Canadian rifle canada day sale ?

What do you expect

I expect a reputable company to stand behind their product.. warranty denial had nothing to do with bedding, but because CZ does not consider accuracy killing flaws in their barrel making and machining to be legitimate "defects". I can go dig up a thread on Rimfire Central if you like where someone in the States got 3 in a row with the chamber defects mine had, and CZ would not replace those barrels for him either. I wasn't asking for a new rifle or even a new stock, just a barrel. Cheap and easy thing to do to keep a customer happy... but I'm not getting into this again. Pillaring and bedding CZ's is standard operating procedure when accurizing them, if you knew what you were talking about.

What I didn't expect, is to get a "dud" Lilja replacement barrel that can't pass the 1/2" challenge, and then to have this happen with the 2nd Lilja barrel that was supposed to finally get the rifle shooting straight.. But go ahead and kick me when I'm down, that's real considerate of you.

I just bought a Canadian .17 at CT in Slave Lake this afternoon. $505 + gst. I have one already, someone will likely get one of them. This one has nice wood. :)

For the person complaining about the Lilja barrels they are not drop ins. The rimfire site in the US has been exploring this problem, something to do with the head space.

^^ I am keenly aware of all aspects of installing new barrels in CZ 455's, and took part in the recent group buy where the barrel shanks were machined extra long, then a shim kit was included to headspace perfectly in any action. Unfortunately, the result fell flat on it's face, with the cone being machined way too thin we're getting failures and they all need to be re-machined. It's a shame, as the initial results before failure were looking very good.

Carson will be re-lapping and re-working my 1st barrel at no charge when I get it to him, headspace was not the issue with it (I had the shank adjusted for perfect fit).

I'm happy with mine. I bought it last fall. It's beautiful and accurate enough to shoot Grouse in the head as far as I'm capable of holding steady. It is picky with hunting ammo though.
