I am going to buy a new CZ455 Lux .22 LR, and I like everything about the rifle except the sling swivels. It seems they are always crooked and on an angle across the length axis of the stock. Has anyone else ever noticed this, and perhaps tried to fix it. They seem to be tight and I hesitate to crank the screw farther clockwise in case the stock cracks or splits.

All help welcome.

Anytime I have had that happen I by a set of o rings (or find some in my parts bin) put the ring between the swivel and the stock. Screw the swivel in until it is where you want it and you are set. The ring kind of acts as a lock washer, the swivel generally doesnt move and in some cases (synthetic stocks) doesn't rattle either.
